A delegation of the African Union of Broadcasting led by the Director General, Grégoire Ngaka, met the Cameroonian Minister of Higher Education, Professor Jacques Fame Ndongo.
During the meeting, the AUB delegation informed the minister about the AUB Summit on Artificial Intelligence and Media, scheduled from March 4 to 6, 2024 in Yaoundé.
According to UNESCO, artificial intelligence is widely used in university education, which was confirmed by the Minister of Higher Education. For Professor Jacques Fame Ndongo, AI is transversal knowledge. He recalled that in Cameroon, each state university has a Digital development Center and the government’s efforts are continuing in this direction.
At the end of the discussions, the Minister of Higher Education welcomed the creation of the AUB’s Foundation for the fight againts Cancer, to be launched during the summit.
